If you want to make this recipe for only one or two people, simply reduce the ingredients and improvise accordingly.
1/2 cup no fat vanilla yogurt
1 tsp. honey
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
3 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
1 cup fresh raspberries
1 cup fresh blueberries
*Note - I added the sliced almonds on top of the yogurt, as you can see in the picture above.
Combine the yogurt, honey and cinnamon in a small bowl, and mix well using a spoon.
Spoon about one tablespoon of the mixture onto each serving plate.
Top each with one half of a peach, cut side up.
Sprinkle the raspberries and the blueberries over the peach halves.
Drizzle fruit with the remaining yogurt mixture.
Makes 6 servings.
Enjoy this snack food ... preparing a healthy fruit snack doesn't get much easier than this ;)
Did You Know?
Did you know that using low fat cooking methods will help reduce the amount of fat content in prepared food?
Using little or no oils in food preparation and choosing to broil, stir-fry, steam, sauté, grill, or poach food are a few examples of ways to cook "low fat".
And, remember, eating "fat free" "low fat", and "light" doesn't mean eating food without taste! Eating heart-healthy can still be fun, scrumptious, and something to look forward to!
