Many people like to "pick your own" peaches, or have their own peach trees, and so they want to store a large amount of peaches for future use for baking, cooking, or to make smoothies!

Depending on the space you may have in your freezer, or personal likes or dislikes of the texture resulting from the preserving process, this fruit can be preserved using either method of storage.

I like to freeze extra peaches that I have on hand, simply because it is much quicker and easier than canning them.

I have plenty of room in my freezer for the bags of frozen peaches, and since I use them mostly to make peach smoothies and shakes, I like to use the peaches frozen, directly from the freezer.
