The whey powder or high fiber addition is optional.
You can easily substitute different fruits with fruit you have on hand in these smoothie recipes.
Making a Fruit Smoothie for breakfast or brunch is a great way to encourage kids (and adults), to include more fruits in their daily diet.
Adding optional fiber cereal, or whey protein powder
to a breakfast smoothie, will make the smoothie taste good and even more healthy!
This Peach Banana Smoothie can be made with canned, fresh, or frozen peaches.
The addition of the orange juice to this breakfast smoothie makes it just perfect for a breakfast drink!
Ingredients
1 medium sized can of peaches, chilled
1 large or 2 small bananas
1 cup orange juice
1 1/2 tbsp. whey protein powder or 6 tbsp. high fiber cereal, optional
Directions
Divide the banana into pieces, and add it to the blender.
Next, add the peaches from the can, using a little of the syrup.
Add the whey powder or the fiber cereal, (if desired).
Add the orange juice, and blend until desired consistency. (If necessary add additional orange juice, or more of the syrup from the can of peaches).
Serve immediately.
Serves 2.

This Peach Yogurt Smoothie is a very simple and quick breakfast smoothie to make in the morning.
You can substitute fresh or frozen peaches instead of the canned peaches.
Ingredients
1 medium can of peaches, chilled
6 tbsp. yogurt
1 cup orange juice
**1 tbsp. whey protein powder or 3 tbsp. high fiber cereal, optional
Directions
Add the peaches to the blender with about one half of the syrup.
Next, add the yogurt, and half of the orange juice, and the whey powder or fiber cereal (if desired).
Blend until smooth, and add the remaining half cup of orange juice until desired consistency is reached.
Serve immediately.
Serves 2.
**(I use citrus flavoured whey protein isolate.)
This Peach Breakfast Smoothie, with clementines, makes a very refreshing citrus smoothie.
You can substitute canned OR fresh peaches for the frozen peaches.
Also, if preferred you can add additional orange juice in the place of the lemonade.
Ingredients
2 frozen peaches
4 clementines
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup lemonade
4 ice cubes
1 tbsp. whey protein powder or high fiber cereal, optional
Directions
Add all the above ingredients to the blender.
Blend until smooth.
If necessary, add additional ice cubes or orange juice to obtain desired consistency.
Serve immediately.
Serves 2.
